Our Mission, Vision and Values

Our Mission is to serve, strengthen and equip our congregation and communities for bold, faithful, Christ-centered worship and witness.

 ^Vision

Our vision is to be a unified, confessional body of Christians, making disciples by baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to embrace the word of Christ.

 ^Values

Our values are grounded in faith and in biblical truths, as exposited in the Lutheran Book of Concord 1580.  These values speak to the way this church lives and practices our faith, and they will guide how we journey forward in Christ in love of God and neighbour.

Forgiveness and reconciliation – We are reconciled to God by Gods forgiving mercy.  Forgiveness and reconciliation flow from what God has made us to be in Jesus Christ and what God is doing with us in the world. As a people of God, we wish to embody forgiveness in speech, action and relationships, and our ministry in reconciliation is foundational.

Worship – We value God serving us in worship and our response is thanksgiving and service to Him.

Dignity, compassion and justice – Each person is created in God’s image.  We respect the God-given right to dignity through the inspiration of Jesus’s life.  As God's servants we aspire to show love and compassion for people through proclamation of the gospel, through worship of Him, and godly living.

Fellowship – We value Christian fellowship.

Education – We value the lifelong study and instruction in the word of God.

Stewardship – We value the gifts God has given us in our time, talents, treasures and testimonies.  We endeavour to be faithful stewards of God’s creation and gifts.
